Who we are

This site belongs to Mountide LLC, a Colorado company. Questions about this policy or about information we hold go to admin@mountide.com.

What we collect

Only what you send us. If you email us, we have your address and whatever you write, and we use it to answer you and to arrange the work or the print you asked about. We do not sell it and we do not add you to a mailing list.

Our hosting provider records ordinary server information for every visitor, including an IP address, the pages requested and the browser used. This is kept briefly and used to keep the site running and secure.

How the site is used

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use this site: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are and what device they use, how they found us, and whether they sent an enquiry or tapped our phone number or email address. Google gives us this as totals and trends. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not use it to advertise to you.

We also use Microsoft Clarity to see how the site is used: where people click, how far they scroll, and anonymised replays of visits, so we can find what is confusing or hard to use. Clarity hides anything you type into our forms, and we do not use it to advertise to you.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets its own cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by a code) so it can tell a returning visitor from a new one. They last up to two years. Microsoft Clarity sets cookies for the same reason (named _clck and _clsk), lasting up to a year, and Microsoft may also set its own identifier cookie (MUID) on its clarity.ms and bing.com domains, lasting about thirteen months. We set no advertising cookies and we do not allow Google or Microsoft to use this information for advertising.

You can stop both from measuring your visits by blocking cookies in your browser settings. For Google Analytics there is also Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

The site also remembers your light or dark choice in your browser. That never reaches us.

Who else sees it

Our website host, which serves this site; Google and Microsoft, which provide the analytics described above; and our email provider, which carries your message to us. We may also share information where the law requires it.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Write to admin@mountide.com. You will not be treated differently for asking.
